Jim Black Retires

A milestone has been reached for ESC VP, Jim Black: retirement!  We are saddened to be losing one of our strong leaders in this firm, but rejoicing with Jim as he enters a new era. Jim Black came on board ESC, Inc. in 2012 looking for something new and challenging to conquer. ESC did not disappoint.  On Jim’s first day he was given a thick stack of drawings and asked to write a program in a rigid timeframe.  He showed what he was made of when he successfully navigated these uncharted waters within his first week.

His final two years at ESC have been spent in management, as he led and mentored our emerging electrical department.  If you work with Jim for very long, you will usually hear the motto we have come to love around here: “Failure is not an option.”  Words we believe Jim lives by.  He has big plans and challenges awaiting him on the other side of retirement.  Many miles of backpacking across southern Missouri and northern Arkansas.  But the first adventure will take place aboard a bike as he pedals his down the Katy Trail through Missouri.  Best wishes, Jim. Thank you for your dedication to ESC. We will miss your guidance and those morning traffic reports!
