Welcome Brandon Cotter
ESC is so excited to welcome Brandon Cotter to our family! Brandon will be joining our Structural/Civil department in performing structural designs and calculations to aid in serving current and future ESC clients. Brandon was a dual major at Missouri University of Science and Technology earning his bachelor’s in architectural engineering and civil engineering. With his 14+ years of experience in the field, we are excited to add his talent to our team.
Brandon is husband to his high school sweetheart Melissa, and father to a whole handful of children. He and his wife had their first daughter Autumn Joy in 2008 and their second daughter Brooklyn Marie in 2011. Brandon’s wife Melissa has always had a heart for adoption, which lead to them to pursuing an international adoption from China. At first, they were told since they have two biological children already that international adoption would not be a good fit for their family. Still possessing a heart for children and a desire to change lives, they felt led to pursue this dream just in a slightly different way.
The Cotters started the process of becoming foster parents in 2014. Throughout the years they have housed many kiddos going through their foster journeys. Through fostering, they learned their dream of adopting a little girl from China was, in fact, still very much a possibility. So, they started working to make this a reality for their family. Through the process they learned there were many boys who had been waiting for long periods for families and felt led to expand their home study to welcome either a girl OR a boy. In May of 2016 the Cotter crew welcomed their son Caidyn GeneBai to the family. The Cotters continued fostering while welcoming their son. Exactly two years later they adopted their daughter Breanna Jade on her 17th birthday out of the foster care system. Breanna is now married to her husband Ben and brought the Cotters their first grandson, Waylon, in 2021. The Cotters seem to always be busy between birthdays, holidays with the family, or sports with their kids, but when he manages to find some extra time, Brandon enjoys biking on the Frisco trail, playing at the lake, and experiencing God’s creation when traveling.
Brandon first encountered ESC through the Pregnancy Care Center’s annual banquet a few years ago where he got to see the generosity ESC devotes ourselves to. He wanted to know what made ESC so unique, so he reached out to Scott, our CEO, and had lunch to discuss generosity in the workplace and all the fruits it can bear. Our CEO reached out Spring of 2022 and asked if Brandon would be interested in a job. Having turned it down at first, Brandon proceeded to pray and discuss with his wife, pastor, and others within his church. After some council, Brandon came to the conclusion he would regret not exploring the opportunity. So, he called back within a couple weeks and began the process of becoming part of the ESC team.
We are blessed to add his skills and heart to our team and can’t wait to see all the good he brings to not only our company but our clients and partners as well.
