ESC Robotics

ESC is now offering integration services for Universal Robots! The line of cobots (collaborative robots) we are supporting is perfect for manufacturing facilities where machinery and manpower come together. Typical industrial robots are, first of all, very costly, but also demand a large footprint due to the caging required by safety standards. However, cobots can work right alongside employees without a safety cage due to their ability to be programmed with limits on force, speed, and momentum of the robotic arm, as well as the ability to alter its programmed work envelope.

CoBot Industrial Robot

If an unplanned impact is made at any point during the execution of a program, the UR robots automatically go into a safety stop, making this a viable option for collaborative task execution between the robot and an employee. Cobots are designed to be very cost effective with a price tag under $55,000. With a range of 4 sizes, and a carrying capacity that ranges from 3kg for the smallest robot, up to 16kg for the larger robots, these are specifically designed to be utilized for tasks that a human operator can safely work in tandem with. That being said, these are completely capable of operating autonomously as well, to be turned on and left to do a task with no interaction needed. The flexibility of the URe Series robots in not only application but also programmability is a huge selling point for these robots.

We are looking forward to this new branch of our business as it provides a wide-open market for both internal growth of ESC to become a better resource for our customers, as well as growth for our business partners in opening up avenues for productivity increases, reallocation of existing employees to other need areas within a business, and elimination of tasks that require non-ergonomic or repetitive motion for workers. ESC strives to provide the best solutions for our clients, and we believe this addition to our services will only add to our ability to continue doing so.

Applications: Assembly, Dispensing, Finishing, Machine Tending, Material Handling, Material Removal, Quality Inspection, Welding, and much more.
